“La 13” Coffee has a complex combination of Barrel Rum, Juicy Plum, Strawberry, Sweet Raspberry, Sugar Cane, Blackberry and Cacao.
This Coffee has a unique processed method called: “Mixed fermentation”. In its freshly ground aroma, you will find a complex of fruity notes that may even remind us of alcohol, rum, or barrels.
In the mouth, you will taste even more complexity, with the right level of acidity.
It creates a pronounced aftertaste and a very juicy body, which means it will generate a salivation sensation in the mouth.
It is cultivated in the high mountains of Belén-Altavista, on the outside limits of “ La Comuna 13” of Medellin, Antioquia.
The farm: “Finca del Alto” has over 70 years of coffee-growing tradition.
The need to create or incentivize the Specialty-Coffee Project from “Finca del Alto” arose to show how resilience can be demonstrated through the coffee cultivation over the years.
